Basketball

With Dwyane Wade out of play, how does the Miami Heat plan to make the playoffs?

Their locker room has become more of an infirmary for the talented, well an infirmary with a revolving door.

If you did not pay close enough attention, you would think the trade deadline has not passed yet from the lack of movement in the NBA.

However, this just goes to show that the new trend of teams reluctant to trade the future for immediate help crosses multiple sports boundaries.

In all honesty, the Minnesota Timberwolves should have tried a little harder to trade Kevin Garnet, but nobody in the NBA has the balls to pull the trigger on a trade.

For a sport that contains so many mouthy athletes, they have such weak and scared general managers.

Hockey

The San Jose Sharks acquired Craig Rivet from the Montreal Canadians to help with their blue line for a playoff push.

They did a good job filling their need for a right-handed lineman. It is good to see that hockey managers have some guts.

Football

The Denver Broncos running back Damien Nash died recently after a charity event and if people recall it wasn't that long ago that the Broncos lost a young quarterback to gun violence.

The Broncos' players should start taking out bigger life insurance policies on themselves because the life expectancy on that team seems to be around six months.

Their locker room has become more of an infirmary for the talented, well an infirmary with a revolving door.

Baseball

The New York Mets rotation is a mess coming into the season. Pedro Martinez is out until July with a hip injury, their second pitcher is Orlando Hernandez who, on top of sucking, has a neck injury.

The Marlins could make a run for the division if they dont slump.

The Giants are sitting on a young shakey rotation and all the weight of their run producing power is on middle-aged knees that have had multiple surgeries.

Well, that and he could be shipped off to prison at any anytime.

The Giants big new aquisition Barry Zito had the 'bright' idea to change his Cy Young pitching motion to that of the motion he used in college.

The best thing about Zito is the fact that he has never missed a single start. He is the Bret Farve of Baseball.
