Slug from Atmosphere brings raw lyrics and honesty in his LP called "Lucy Ford."
Atmosphere brings a sound to hip-hop that has been absent and missed. Slug is a Caucasian male from Minneapolis who knows how to rhyme with common sense. His lyrics are so real that they actually leave you with thoughts like "wow" and "that was deep."
A song called, "The Woman with the Tattooed Hands" involves lyrics about how Slug gained respect for so many women. He talks about how he is going to take the time to cherish every girl he will ever have a relationship with.
Many people refer to Slug as a woman rapper. Not all of his lyrics are directly aimed at women, but a good amount are.
In another song, he talks about how he wishes he could make so many people's lives easier by helping them with their problems. That song is called "If I was Santa Clause. "
The instrumentals in "Lucy Ford" are smooth and peaceful. Light sounds of a piano lay behind most of Slug's rhymes.
The "Lucy Ford" LP is Atmosphere's second of eight albums. It could easily be labeled as one of the best. The lyrics are deeper in "Lucy Ford" than in any other.
The tracks cover more about his life than anything else.
Slug shares his personal experiences on most of his tracks.
Atmosphere's lyrics and peaceful instrumentals can send real messages out to all those who are willing to listen.
