Art show kicks off with big awards ceremony
To kick off Las Positas College's 30th Annual Fine Arts Festival, students were handed out awards and prizes at the new Bankhead Theatre in downtown Livermore on Wednesday, May 7.
Julie Cuy was the big winner of the evening taking home four awards. Cuy won not one but two $250 cash awards from the LPC Bookstore and was also the winner of the 2008 Discover Art League Scholarship and co-winner of the 2008 Pleasanton Art League scholarship and Art Club Scholarships.…
